Here is another Christmas card photo shoot. This time of gorgeous little Sena, whom you might remember from when she was a newborn, and a 6 month photo shoot in yellow aspen leaves. She was quite the cooperative little model, posing with a very cheesy fake smile. What a handful this little one is! I had a fun time chasing her around to get these.

I can hardly believe it's time for Christmas card photos! Here is the Hastings family, with one member added since the last time I photographed them. We had a good time wandering around the Tucson zoo looking for pretty bamboo backgrounds.

Where we've been...

You may have noticed that we've been a bit absent from this blog lately. There's a very good reason... we have a brand new baby! (actually, he's already six weeks old now, but we're finally getting back in the swing of things).
So, here are a few photos of our sweet new baby boy.

When Erika called me last month she said that she and her fiancee were planning to elope before the birth of their baby. They wanted to have a small ceremony, and then a wedding/maternity portrait session. As it turned out, it was a ceremony and a wedding/newborn portrait session. It was fun getting to photograph this impromptu ceremony, and what a beautiful baby boy! Thank you Erika and Pedro for letting me be part of your special evening.

Matt and Kristy had a beautiful intimate wedding at the Raddison Orange Grove in Tucson. It was a couple of weeks ago now, and I was slow getting this blog post done, but I definitely wanted to post some of the photos. The orange grove was a gorgeous setting that I'd never been to before. We had a great time photographing this small wedding where all the guests, and especially the bride and groom were relaxed and just having a good time. Toward the end of this shoot, Julie told me that she's a terrible model. I think she could have fooled me! We did this one and the prenatal pilates the week before, and she looks great in both of them. I especially like some of these though. Beautiful bellies are such a treat to photograph, and such a wonderful thing to have captured. Thanks Julie for letting me capture yours!

A fun afternoon yesterday of trying to find/create the best lighting/background/pose combination for this prenatal pilates photo shoot. Julie was a trooper, holding difficult positions while I said, "one more... one more... one more... just another second while I try it from the other side..." Thanks to Melissa at Balanced Spirit Pilates for the opportunity to do this shoot for her, and for letting me move every piece of furniture in the studio! We also tried outside in the gazebo. I love these two looking through the slats.

We headed up to Flagstaff for a last-minute wedding this week. Fran and Duke put together a beautiful little winter wedding in what people were calling record time. Fran was a gorgeous bride, and Duke really set the tone in his cowboy hat and Western Jacket. We were so glad to be a part of their celebration!
